In 1983 Jonathan Sear started the practice that became Sear and Marsh
Bringing a background in commerce with importing, wholesaling and distribution business to public practice, he assisted clients throughout their whole business cycles. He has had a broad range of experience with many businesses and individual clients including manufacturers, retailers, hospitality businesses, legal practices, medical practices, consultancy businesses, investors, authors and scientists.
He is well known in the accounting profession as a speaker on taxation topics and has served on various federal committees and forums dealing with both broad and specific aspects of tax law and administration. Jonathan was a member of the National Tax Practice Committee of CPA Australia from 1995-2010, and is now a member of the CPA Taxation Centre of Excellence. In 2005 he was awarded the Henry Fox Award by CPA Australia for outstanding service to public practice.
